Hello,

I am Alexander Buschek, and I have been an IT professional for many years. I am passionate about Digital Transformation and the opportunities it will give businesses. I am convinced that every business has to embrace Digital Transformation in one way or another in order to survive. The sooner a business starts its Digital Transformation, the better. To support this process, spread awareness, and share experiences, I started the Digital Transformation Blog.

In the meantime I am a frequently asked speaker at conferences about Digital Transformation.

Today, I am a Senior Director, Analyst (MSE) at Gartner.

Prior to working with Gartner, I was the CIO of CHERRY GmbH. CHERRY, with its headquarters in Auerbach in der Oberpfalz, Germany, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of computer input devices with an emphasis on office, industrial and security markets, as well as switches for mechanical keyboards among others for PC gaming. I am is responsible for the digitalization, IT strategy, and IT operations of the global CHERRY group.

Before joining CHERRY, I was the CDO, and CIO of Braunschweiger Flammenfilter GmbH, an international valve manufacturing company that employs more than 500 people in several locations worldwide. My main responsibility was digitalization plus the IT development of the entire PROTEGO® Group. I completely revised the IT infrastructure, and ERP systems alongside a hand-selected team. Now, with the maturity of cloud technology, and security issues are addressed, I have successfully started the Digital Transformation campaign.

Earlier, I worked as an entrepreneur, consulting businesses in many industries with their IT strategies, providing external project management, and overseeing various IT projects (e.g. ERP and CAD implementation and migration). Working with many businesses gave me a deep understanding of this market.
